Concerning sensitive analog signal processing designs, providing a low noise supply for ADCs and other devices like Voltage Reference is essential. In some cases, these situations get more complicated like when analog devices starved for more power. In general, more power equals more noise but with some techniques and proper part selection, we can reach both goals.
In EmbedCores Inc., we utilized this circuit for one of our customers, where they have a very sensitive Analog to Digital Conversion with a High Dynamic Range. This circuit is capable of supplying 2A at 5V.
